Apple’s long-awaited Vision Pro headset is nearly here according to respected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. He reports that mass shipments of the augmented reality device will begin in early January 2024, meaning the Vision Pro should hit store shelves by February.
Apple is planning an initial shipment of 500,000 units – a substantial launch quantity. Manufacturing is ramping up at factories in China to meet this production goal and fulfill orders once sales open up next month.
Previous rumors pointed to potential delays pushing back the on-sale date to March. But Kuo’s latest supply chain checks confirm Apple is on track for a February launch, meeting its original target.
With an expected $3,500 price point, the Vision Pro won’t come cheap. But for those eager to get their hands on Apple’s first crack at an AR/VR headset, the wait is nearly over. The Vision Pro is primed to arrive in just over a month’s time.
