Home automation company Eve is significantly expanding its lineup of Matter-compatible smart home devices, including the first Matter-enabled smart socket.
Eve, known for its focus on Apple HomeKit products, has been transitioning its portfolio to support the new Matter smart home standard. Matter allows devices to interact across platforms like Alexa, Google Home and Siri using a common language based on IP networking.
The company’s newest additions cover several major smart home categories – shades, switches and outlets. Leading the pack is Eve Blinds, an automated blind system launching February 1st. The made-to-measure shades will be available in both sheer and blackout materials, featuring Eve’s whisper-quiet MotionBlinds motors to raise, lower and tilt slats.
Next up is Eve Energy Outlet hitting stores February 6th. Unlike bulky plug-in smart plugs, Eve’s outlet replaces a standard wall receptacle to provide smart control plus built-in energy monitoring. The sleek, flat design blends seamlessly into any wall while delivering both smarts and electricity to lamps, appliances and more.
Rounding out the lineup is an update to Eve’s popular Light Switch, which gets added Matter support later this year. Scheduled for Q2 2024, the switch features the same slim, elegant profile Eve customers have come to expect. It stands out in a sea of functional but blah-looking competitors.
The new Eve Blinds, Energy Outlet and Light Switch all speak Matter natively to interoperate with smart home platforms old and new. And at $50 MSRP apiece, they deliver automation without breaking the bank.
Over 2023, Eve worked to update its extensive catalog with Matter, expanding connectivity and utility substantially. Now in 2024, the company is leveraging these capabilities to stretch into new smart home categories like automated window treatments while continuing to focus on beautiful design.
For homes seeking smarter living with style, Eve’s lineup provides plenty of new options in the new year. The Eve Blinds bring a new level of adjustable privacy starting next month, no longer limiting tech-savvy homeowners to boring old shades. So stay tuned in 2024 even if you already outfitted your home with Eve’s locks, sensors or controllers. With fresh form factors like in-wall outlets and switches, Eve has unique new ways to class up your smart space.
